Dahkil's foundation as a storyteller began at Syracuse University (Newhouse) under the profound tutelage of the legendary Dr. Mĩcere Gĩthae Mũgo, where he embraced the sacred responsibility of the Griot. That grounding sparked a prolific, decades-long writing and directing partnership with Daoud Abeid, which recently reached a landmark milestone with their screenplay, Jabari's People, being acquired for direction by Oscar nominee Delroy Lindo.

As a NEW INC alum and creative technologist, his trajectory naturally bridged these narrative roots with immersive media, pioneering virtual and augmented reality experiences to champion accessibility and human rights.

Today, Dahkil's creative arsenal is fully integrated. Through deep collaborations with visual activist Russell Frederick (Darkroom Diaspora) and creative designers like Kaza Razat and Ramulas Burgess (Echoes), he utilizes new technologies, including generative AI and interactive AR, ethically and impactfully.
